Specialist equipment was needed to allow paramedics to treat a casualty in Scarborough overnight.
Fire officers used a medical emergency kit and a lock snapper to allow clinicians to gain access to a property on Hoxton Road, around 1.30am on Sunday morning.
Meanwhile, officers required a specialist Argocat from Kirkbymoorside to secure an electrical cable that had caused a hedge fire in Cloughton, around 11.30am.
Less than an hour later, fire crews from Sherburn and Filey responded to a report of smoke in a commercial building. Officers found this to be caused by a fire inside wood paneling on the exterior of the property. The crews removed the paneling to access and extinguish the fire. They also ventilated the property to clear light smoke logging.
