The park at Wykeham near Scarborough will be closed until 3pm today as they host a training exercise for the emergency services.
The training event at Wykeham Lakes will see a number of emergency services taking part and could see a flurry of Emergency Services vehicles in the area.
North Yorkshire Water Park say:
"The water park will be closed to the general public until 3pm as we'll be hosting a training exercise for local emergency services!
Please don't be alarmed if you see a flurry of emergency vehicles in the area, all is well and the park will be back open as normal in the afternoon!
We're proud to be able to support those who help others in times of need by offing our site and staff to hone their specialist skills! It's set to be one of the largest water-based training exercises in the North of England and the Emergency Services have requested complete privacy to undertake the various drills, so we ask that this is respected!
We appreciate that exercises like this are exciting and of interest to the public so we'll be sharing images after the event! "
The closure will mean that the café will be closed and all access to the site will be restricted, including all dog walking routes and access to the fishing lakes.
