The Air Ambulance, Fire Crew and Mountain Rescue teams were involved in a snowy rescue on Tuesday afternoon.
Fire crews from Pickering Fire Station & Kirkbymoorside Fire Station were mobilised on Tuesday afternoon along with Yorkshire Ambulance Service NHS Trust, Yorkshire Air Ambulance, Scarborough and Ryedale Mountain Rescue Team and North Yorkshire Police to reports of a road traffic collision (RTC) on Chimney Bank, Rosedale.
The incident involved a car on it's side. One person had managed to get out of the vehicle before crews arrived but an other person was trapped.

Fire crews worked alongside Paramedics and extricated the person who was then transported by road to hospital for treatment.
Due to the snow it proved a challenge for some emergency services to reach the scene with some crew having to walk some distance carrying equipment.
