Eastfield's local Neighbourhood Policing Team have seized an E-Bike after reports of dangerous riding.
The local policing team say that they had received reports of a distinctive off-road E-bike riding dangerously over a number of days.
They say:
"It had been riding in and out of traffic, on footpaths requiring members of the public to take evasive action and in green-spaces where children are playing."
The team say they received further reports on Sunday and managed to locate the bike:
"we had a sighting of said motorbike and following up on local intelligence found the rider taking it to a secure location allowing local officers to seize the bike. Therefore, protecting the public from this inconsiderate and dangerous individual.
This is the second bike we as a team have seized this week along with notice of intending prosecutions being sent out for other riders who think it is acceptable to drive these vehicles in a poor manner without the correct documentation.
We would like to thank the community for the reports and intelligence leading to its seizure. We are not naive to the fact others are out there but these riders should be aware we are looking for you and will take action when necessary."
