A councillor has apologised after inadvertently allowing the band to gatecrash the meeting.
At an online meeting of the East Riding of Yorkshire Council yesterday discussion of a motion calling for the mandatory registration of home schooled children was briefly interrupted by a picture of 1980’s rock band Twisted Sister.
Councillor Ben Weeks’ speech was for a short time accompanied by a photo of the group.

The band were on screen for just a second, but it was enough time to surprise Councillor Weeks.
Cllr Paul Nickerson, who accidentally shared the photo, posted an apology email to council Chief Executive Caroline Lacey on Twitter after the meeting.
