Scarborough police say their children's personal safety workshops known as Crucial Crew, have returned following a three-year break due to Covid-19.
The new programme of sessions have been delivered over the past two weeks to Year 6 primary school children across Ryedale and Scarborough District.
The workshops were held at Scarborough TEC College and explored issues around:
- Sexting
- Fire safety
- Water safety
- Anti-social behaviour
- Drugs awareness
- Smoking & vaping
- Healthy Relationships
- Rail Safety
Officers from Scarborough Police say:
"Our thanks go to North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service, British Transport Police, NYC Smoke Free Service, IDAS, Scarborough Community Impact Team and the RLNI, whose invaluable support meant it was a huge success.
The School Liaison Team organise the event but could not run it without the support of their Neighbourhood Policing colleagues, who were integral in delivering some of the sessions and making the event the success it was."
