COVID Marshalls For Scarborough

The town will have COVID marshals as part of plans for the easing of lockdown restrictions.

Plans are underway in the Scarborough Borough for the easing of lockdown and an expected surge in visitors.

The next stage of the governments roadmap strategy is expected to come in to effect in mid April with shops opening, pubs and restaurants serving food outdoors and some UK holidays possible.

Borough Council Operations Manager Paul Thompson explains some of the measures being put in place.

COVID marshals are also to be deployed in Scarborough Town Centre as part of the measures being prepared for the easing of lockdown.

Paul Thompson says refreshed social distancing signage will be put in place as well as more marshals in key areas.
