Bridlington Coastguard Rescue Team were involved in the rescue on Thursday.
Humber Coastguard received reports of a casualty at the base of the cliff to the north of Hornsea just after 10:30am on Thursday. It was reported the casualty had suffered a leg injury.
Bridlington Coastguard Rescue Team, Hornsea Inshore Rescue and the Yorkshire Ambulance Service were dispatched and the casualty located but due to the incoming tide and access a crew member from the lifeboat was put ashore to assess the casualty.
Coastguard helicopter 912 was deemed to be the best way to extract the casualty and transport to hospital care.
Hull Coastguard Rescue Team manned the landing site in Hull for rescue 912 and assist with the transfer of the casualty.
