Housing issues specific to Coastal Towns like Scarborough and Whitby won't get forgotten when the Borough Council is replaced with a county wide unitary authority in a year's time.
That's the reassurance from Borough Council Chief Exec - Michael Greene - he says the issues are being flagged up in work-streams which are underway as part of the creation of the new authority.
Michael Greene says the area's housing issues are being flagged up to those creating the new county-wide council.
Michael says the borough has a good track record with affordable housing and a great deal of expertise which could be shared elsewhere in the county.
