The Porsche Club Great Britain is to bring two events to Bridlington this year.
Porsche Club Great Britain have announced two events to take place in Bridlington this year, with Porsches on the Prom in April and Icons of Cool in July.
Porsches on the Prom is taking place on Sunday, 16 April on the seafront between Bridlington Spa and the RNLI Boathouse.
Organisers say:
"From 11am you'll have the chance to get up close and personal with some of the most impressive cars around. From vintage classics to sleek modern sports cars, there will be something for everyone."
Each Porsche owner displaying on the day has paid a £5 entry fee which will be donated to the Bridlington RNLI.
July will see the R7 Yorkshire Porsche Festival taking place at Sewerby Hall and Gardens on Sunday, 9 July, supported by Porsche Centre Hull, who will host a Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur event, the day will celebrate Porsche Icons of Cool and pays homage to the heritage, design and style of the 1960s and early 1970s.
In addition to the displays of Icons of Cool and a Concours competition, there will also be a selection of activities for mini-Porsche fans, which include a range of creative activities to keep children entertained. There will be a selfie booth with prizes donated by Porsche Centre Hull for the best 60’s themed costume.
Alex Crutchley, the council’s destinations group manager, said:
“It’s been a fantastic opportunity working with Porsche Club Great Britain, R7 Yorkshire Porsche and Porsche Centre Hull. These are two really exciting events that will give residents and visitors to Bridlington the opportunity to get up close and personal with some of the finest cars from the past up to the modern day.
“The event in Sewerby also ties in with the exhibition run of Wildlife Photographer of the Year, which gives our customers two prestigious events for the price of one and makes for a superb family day out”.
The event will be free to Sewerby Hall and Gardens annual pass holders. Otherwise, usual visitor fees apply.
