Senior NHS directors have been discussing the future of primary care buildings in North Yorkshire.
These are the buildings where the first point of contact with healthcare officials occur such as community pharmacies, doctor's surgeries and dentists.
Wendy Balmain is North Yorkshire Place Director for the Humber and North Yorkshire Integrated Care Board.
She's been discussing some of the challenges around ageing buildings:
Wendy feels the major authorities like local councils and the health service should be working jointly on future building projects and what they provide and that it's not all about section 106 applications where a housing development pays towards health provision and other costs:
