The town's Chamber of trade wants retailers to help create a festive trail around the town centre.
Businesses in Scarborough town centre are being urged to dust off the tinsel and polish up their baubles for the annual Christmas window competition.
Janet Jefferson from the chamber of trade and commerce says their judges will be back out on the streets this year looking for the towns best festive displays.
The chamber of trade is asking retailers to put on a Christmas display which will be judged as part of their annual competition but also be another reason for people to visit the town centre.
Janet says there will be a number of awards given out in different categories.
The chamber say there is no need to submit an entry form, all window displays in the town centre will be included as part of the judging process which will take place on the evenings of December 13th and 14th.
Retailers are asked to leave their displays switched on on those evenings so the judges get the full effect.
