The volunteer team have been called out 60 times so far this year.
The team were called out yesterday to their 60th incident of 2021 they say this year is by far their busiest since their formation as Scarborough and District Search and Rescue Team in 1965.
Yesterday afternoon the team were alerted by Cleveland Mountain Rescue Team to an incident with an injured mountain biker in Dalby Forest which had been incorrectly allocated to them.
They contacted the caller to establish their location and nature of injury then deployed two team members and a team vehicle to support the Forest Ranger who was already on scene.
The patient has sustained a significant laceration to her knee, after the wound had been dressed her and her riding partner were transported to the visitor centre and the waiting ambulance crew.
The rescue team had five team members directly involved with a further seven on standby for two hours.
