Bridlington Town Football Club has expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Bridlington Town Supporters Association for their remarkable fundraising efforts during the 2024/25 season.
The Supporters Association fundraising efforts culminated in an impressive total of £24,267. This significant amount has been described as "invaluable" to the club’s operations and improvements.
In a statement released by the club, officials acknowledged the unwavering dedication of the supporters association, stating,
"We thank each and every member of the supporters association who has gone above and beyond to raise money for the club."
The funds raised have facilitated various crucial investments aimed at enhancing the club's facilities and overall matchday experience.
The club has utilized the raised funds for several key improvements, including:
- Installation of new goals
- A state-of-the-art sound system
- A ball catcher net at the opposite end of the pitch
- Comprehensive pitch refurbishment over the summer, which has been noted as the best the club has ever had, with special thanks given to the ground staff for their hard work
- Purchase of a new lawn mower
- Implementation of stadium-wide WiFi
- Acquisition of two 85-inch televisions, one for indoor viewing and another for outdoor use
The club also highlighted the outstanding contributions of individual members who played pivotal roles in the fundraising efforts. Notable mentions include:
- Tony Mooney, who organized a raffle that raised over £4,600
- Richard Bishop and Ray Pollard, who garnered over £5,000 through the Seasiders Megastore
- Tom Ormsby, who contributed through football cards
- Dave and Claire Ball, who raised £2,500 with the Super Six initiative
- Dom Taylor and Jon Tindall, who were instrumental in the club 100 draw
- All committee members for their ongoing support and dedication
