The Seasiders eased to victory with a goal in each half, in Hull, on Tuesday.
The Seasiders secured their place in the final with a controlled and professional 2–0 victory over Reckitts in the Senior Cup semi final.
From the first whistle, the Seasiders dictated the tempo against a Reckitts side content to sit deep with numbers behind the ball. Brid moved it patiently, probing for gaps, and nearly found the opener midway through the first half when Riley Cooper saw a fierce effort crash back off the crossbar.
The breakthrough arrived on 27 minutes. Casey Stewart cut in from the right, opened his body and drilled a low left footed strike in off the far post to give Brid a deserved lead. Ahmed Salam also went close from a free kick before the break, but it remained 1–0 at half time after a dominant opening 45 minutes.
Brid continued in the same fashion after the restart, keeping possession and pushing forward. Tom Allan was heavily involved, stepping out from defence to support attacks, and after going close with a low drive, he doubled the advantage on 73 minutes. Driving down the left, Allan delivered a dangerous ball across goal that clipped the far post and found the net to make it 2–0.
Substitutions allowed fresh legs to see out the game, including a debut for Aidan Brennan, and although Reckitts threatened late on, Jake Day reacted sharply to a miss kick by the stand-in goalkeeper to make an important low save and preserve the clean sheet.
A composed display, two well taken goals, and Bridlington Town march on to the final.
