A Bridlington man is running from Sheffield to Bridlington on Saturday.
Luke Wilson is doing the hundred mile route to raise money for Motor Neurone disease.
Luke says his best friend Edwards' father Edgars is suffering from the condition and revealed how money raised will be spent:
"So the money's gonna help Edgars have the best quality of life that he can get. The money will go towards medical equipment.
"Just support carers because it's not only affecting Edgars, it's affecting his whole family as well, financially and emotionally. So all the money would go towards them, helping them live a better life."
He says he's been in training for the past two years to prepare for the challenge:
"I've had two years of training. I decided I wanted to do it about two years ago, but the first year I was suffering with Shin Splints. That first year was a write off, and then at the beginning of this year, I've been training for it through just a program, getting my miles in.
"I'm feeling fairly confident about it through the training, but I'm not underestimating it whatsoever."
Money raised will go towards Edgars' treatment, including equipment to help fight the disease and maintain his quality of life.
