Scarborough Athletic Chairman Trevor Bull has thanked the club's fans for their support over the closed season ahead of a challenging new league campaign.
Boro will be playing their home games in Bridlington this season while repairs are carried out to their Scarborough pitch, the move is expected to lead to a six figure financial hit.
Trevor says over 400 people have now bought season passes for the home games in Bridlington and many more have signed up for the clubs No Battle No Victory fund which is helping to support the club financially as they face a season away from Scarborough.
Trevor says the new season club shirts have also been selling well.
"Both shirts have been very well received, they've been selling in large numbers.
I'm pleased to see that our online system is working extremely well because with our financial restraints, we just haven't got the money to spend and keep a lot of stock.
Pro direct, our supplier are looking after our online sales, so that saved us having to purchase stock in advance.
Speaking to supporters that use that service, they've been delivered within two to three days so quicker than we could have done it if we were doing it ourselves. So thank you to Pro Direct for that. "
In an update to fans last week the club's board said:
"This early show of commitment has given our fan-owned club the platform and confidence to start the season with a clear intention to try and maintain our status and be competitive in National League North."
Trevor Bull says the club is continuing to strengthen it's squad despite facing a financially difficult season.
Trevor says the club is continuing to make solid signings including American goalkeeper Hiram Romero, defender Jake Hull and attacker Rio Allan.
"It was great to see young Rio Allen score with his in his first game as well so we've got a bit more attacking intent this season, which is brilliant. And and we strengthened defence a little bit as well so yeah we're doing what we can.
Everybody knows we've got no money to splash around, so we're just doing what we can within the means that we've got. "
Boro have the chance to try out their new home in Bridlington on Friday evening when they entertain Sheffield Wednesday in a friendly fixture. Kick off is at 7:45pm and The Valley Bar Seadogs Travel Club will be running transport to the game, for more information and to book a space you can contact the Travel Club on 07598931572.
