Boro Battle Back To Secure A Point Against Chorley

Despite a huge FA Cup replay next Tuesday, Jono Greening says his focus right now is Alfreton away on Saturday.

That after the Seadogs came from behind at half time to secure a point at home to Chorley last night.

Over 1200 home fans (plus 10 from Chorley) braved the chilly November air to roar Boro on, just days after the dramatic draw with Forest Green Rovers of League Two.

Last night's match was pacey with both teams creating chances, but Chorley had the better of them and scored on the 27th minute when a through-ball found Ubaezounu who slotted it past Whitley.

The 2nd half was equally as frantic but Scarborough started looking the more likely to score next and did so on 59 minutes after a Luca Colville cross found Kieran Weledji, who slotted it in from close range.

There were saves from both keepers, the odd clearance off the line and always the chance one team would nick it at the end, but it remained 1-1.

Paddy asked boss Jono Greening if it was a point gained or two points lost:

Scarborough slip a couple of places to 18th in National League North,

But in a very tight league, they sit just 2 points above the relegatin zone and just 3 points outside the playoffs.

They face a very tough test away at Alfreton on Saturday. They have won their last 3 league games on the bounce.

We asked Jono it's it's hard managing the cluttered match schedule, with important league fixtures and the huge FA Cup replay looming:
