The Seasiders led early on through Marcus Giles only for two goals in close succession, including a disputed free-kick to put the NPL Premier newcomers in front.
Town levelled before half-time through former Middlesbrough striker Harry Green, only for Liversedge to smash home another free-kick for the winner.
