Whitby Town have moved to add a central defender to their ranks ahead of the new season on Saturday.
24-year-old Aaron Cunningham has signed up hours before the trip to Matlock Town.
The Gladiators made the NPL Premier play-off semi-finals last season, while Whitby narrowly missed out.
The Seasiders are also likely to add a striker to their ranks on Saturday.
Cunningham is a former Hartlepool United, Blyth Spartans and Spennymoor Town player.
He has turned out for the Blues as one of their trialists in pre-season games, recently.
