Firefighters tackled a blaze in a field near an iconic roundabout between Filey and Bridlington, on Saturday night.
At around 11pm on Saturday, officers from Filey, Scarborough, Malton and Bridlington attended a fire to a number of hay bales, in a field close to the Dotteril Roundabout, at Reighton.
The incident has been revisited on Sunday, with the fire, now smaller, being allowed to burn out safely in the middle of the field.
It was a busy night for the Scarborough crew who, within seconds, were attending to an elderly man on Stone Quarry Road in Burniston.
They then used a hose reel to extinguish a deliberate vehicle fire on Lady Edith's Drive in Scarborough, just after 1am on Sunday.
