The latest seven day COVID infection rate numbers show a significant drop in the rate in the Scarborough Borough.
The latest figures show the COVID infection rate for the seven days up to January 18th.
All seven districts in North Yorkshire show daily falls in the rate. In the Scarborough borough the rate has dropped from 224 cases per 100,000 people in yesterday's numbers to 178 today, drop of 46.
The borough has the lowest rate in the county, the county average is now 272, the all England average is 447.
The decrease follows a couple of days of slight increases in the borough's figures. It's the lowest figure for the borough since December 12th.
