It was a weekend of disappointment for Whitby, Scarborough and Bridlington's rugby union sides.
Boro were looking for their first win of the season but were narrowly edged out in a low-scoring clash in Halifax.
Matty Jones' men lost 17-10 at Old Crossleyans in North East 2.
In the same division, Bridlington were thumped 39-0 at Malton and Norton.
Whitby fared no better, losing out 34-19 at Redcar, in Durham & Northumberland Division Two.
