Thousands descended on Scarborough and Whitby for a scorching Armed Forces Day.
Armed Forces Day saw thousands line the South Bay in Scarborough and plenty in the centre of Whitby too.
They were treated to flypasts, parades and stalls on Saturday.
Richard Flinton is the Chief Executive of North Yorkshire Council.
Helped by its particular shape, he says Scarborough is the perfect venue for Armed Forces Day:
"It does take you back to that National Armed Forces event, wasn't it? When that was fantastic and I can't think there's anywhere in the country that does it as well as this, the amphitheatre that you described, the sea looking gorgeous and it's a tremendous advert for the town as well."

MP for Scarborough & Whitby Alison Hume also told us she was enjoying the event:
"Let's not forget what today is all about. It's really paying respect to people who've served our country and our community in the past, and those who are serving us now. Yeah, it's a really good family day, but at the heart of it, we are remembering people who give extraordinary sacrifice."
