Scarborough Police are appealing for witnesses and information about a violent incident involving two men and a woman.
It happened on the corner of Longwestgate and Cross Street at around 5.45pm on Tuesday 22 December 2020.
When police arrived two minutes after it had been reported, the people involved had left the scene where blood was found on the ground.
Detailed enquiries, including checks with the ambulance service and hospitals, have so far yet to identify the men and the woman.
Officers are requesting the public’s assistance to help establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.
In particular, they are appealing for information about any people or vehicles seen in the area at the time of the incident.
