Police officers are appealing for witnesses, after a cyclist was found unconscious on Peasholm Road in Scarborough.
The cyclist was found at around 2am on Sunday morning.
The man in his thirties, was found by a passer-by not far from the crazy golf course. He was been taken to Hull Royal Infirmary with a serious head injury.
Road closures were put in place at Peasholm North Marine and Victoria Park, while officers worked at the scene to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.
Anyone who was travelling in the area late Saturday night, early Sunday morning, is asked to contact police.
