Second homes and short term lets remain a problem in Whitby, that's the view of local councillor Neil Swannick.
He wants a change in law so it needs a planning application to change a house from a residential property to a short term let.
Councillor Swannick also wanted all short term lets to be registered with the local authority- but the last government didn't enact that law:
Mr Swannick's keen to press the current government to bring in the same plans as those mentioned by the former Housing Minister in February:
