Temporary speed limits introduced on sections of the A171 during the moorland fire have now been removed.
The 30mph speed limit that was in place on sections of the A171 and B1416 following the Langdale and Fylingdales wildfires has now been removed.
However North Yorkshire Council say that the risk of smoke still remains so motorists are being advised to continue driving with caution.
The highways team say that there is also potential risk of wild animals running across the highway, due to fencing being removed or damaged to allow emergency services tackle the fire.
Although the 30mph restriction has been removed, some advisory signage will still be in place and lay-bys will remain closed.

North Yorkshire Fire Service say they are gradually moving toward a more business-as-usual approach, but the major incident status remains in place for North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service which ensures they can quickly mobilise resources if needed, without formal escalation.
Currently, an average of three fire engines are deployed at the scene with crews actively managing flare-ups, monitoring weather conditions, and providing welfare support.
The Fire service say that cooler, wetter weather is helping, but deep-seated heat in the peat means flare-ups and visible smoke may still occur.
Fire officers advise:
" If you're driving nearby keep windows and air vents closed. Turn off air conditioning to avoid drawing in smoke.
Please follow all walking and cycling route diversions and avoid active response areas.
There is still a risk from unexploded ordnance and flare-ups."
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
