The A171 is currently closed between Aislaby Lane and Moor Lane, with traffic diverting through Aislaby.
Callers to This Is The Coast earliewr this morning reported an accident was partially blocking the road.
Now, Police have closed the road with some traffic reportedly diverting through the village of Ailaby via Moor Lane and Aislaby Lane.
Other callers have reported traffic divering through Newholm.
