A 68 year old open top bus is helping raise money for a Whitby Charity.
The 1956 Leyland PD2 has be bought by local bus enthusiasts Nathan Merryweather and Xav Paine.
Nathan says that they hope eventually to get a full licence to operate the vehicle locally but in the meantime are using it along Scarborough seafront to raise money for the charity.
Nathan and Xav are members of the Eastern Bus Enthusiasts, a group of preserved vehicle owners and volunteers of all ages who help maintain a fleet of over 30 classic buses and coaches.

They are applying for a full licence to run the bus as a commercial service.
While they wait for that, Co-Owner - Nathan Merryweather, says they are putting it to good use in Scarborough raising money for Whitby animal Sanctuary.
Nathan says while they can't currently charge people for trips on the bus they can accept donations
Nathan says running the bus to raise funds for charity will help to keep the vintage vehicle in shape, he explains why they chose to raise funds for the Whitby Animal Sanctuary.
The bus ,LRV 992, is a 1956 Leyland PD2 with Metro-Cammell bodywork which was converted to open top by its owners Portsmouth Corporation in 1971. Nathan says the bus has had a busy working life and will need some looking after.
