Uganda's opposition leader claims "hundreds of soldiers" raided his home overnight and held his wife at gunpoint, leaving destruction everywhere.
Bobi Wine says his wife was assaulted and documents and electronic items were taken from his home.
He made the claims on X on Saturday morning. Sky News has approached the Ugandan government for comment.
It comes days after President Yoweri Museveni extended his decades-long rule of the African country in an election marred by claims of ballot stuffing.
"Hundreds of soldiers descended on our home in Magere last night," Mr Wine said.
"Many of them were drunk. They came with ladders, ready to climb upstairs. They broke our doors and forced themselves into our house."
He said they held his wife at gunpoint, asking her to reveal his whereabouts.
