A year on from an Israeli double strike on a hospital in Gaza that killed 22 Palestinians, including journalists and rescue workers, no one has been held accountable.
Israeli officials claimed the target was a suspected Hamas observation camera on the roof of Nasser Hospital and that six of those killed were linked to the militant group - but did not provide evidence for either claim.
Among those killed were Reuters cameraman Hussam al Masri and Mariam Dagga, a visual journalist who worked for The Associated Press and other news organisations.
An Israeli soldier, speaking anonymously to the Associated Press, now says the military could find no evidence linking the camera, which belonged to al Masri, to Hamas.
The soldier, who was privy to discussions surrounding the military's response, said none of the six was the intended target of the strike.
In the aftermath of the killings, the IDF faced accusations of carrying out a "double tap" strike to target emergency workers who moved in to help the wounded after the initial strike.
It has been argued such an attack would constitute a war crime under the Geneva Conventions.
At the time, the Palestinian ambassador to the UN condemned the attack on Nasser Hospital as "a premeditated strike on medics and journalists".
Despite repeated requests by journalists, the IDF has not provided details about its investigation into what happened.
In a text sent to the Associated Press, it said the incident is being examined and findings will be transferred to the Military Advocate General's Corps to reach a verdict on whether to open a criminal investigation. It didn't provide a timeline.
Rights groups argue Israel rarely holds its troops accountable for killing Palestinians.

"A year later, we remain devastated by their deaths and are still searching for answers from the Israeli authorities about what happened that day," Associated Press executive editor Julie Pace said.
"The information we have received to date has fallen short of the clear answers and accountability that an incident of this gravity requires."
Most of those killed died when the IDF launched a second strike on the same stairwell, around eight minutes after the first, as rescue efforts were under way.
Video seen by Sky News shows two missiles hitting the hospital in the second strike.
