Two men and two women have been charged with murder after the death of a newborn baby girl in South Yorkshire.
Police responded on Sunday to reports of concern for the safety of an infant in the Wincobank area of Sheffield.
Despite the best efforts of officers and paramedics, the baby was pronounced dead at the scene, South Yorkshire Police said.
A post-mortem revealed that she died as a result of stab wounds.
Initially, seven people were arrested, aged between 15 and 38.
Andrea Skopova, 20, Peter Horvath, 19, Peter Horvath, 38, and Nina Horvathova, 37, have now appeared at Sheffield Magistrates' Court charged with murder. All four have been remanded in custody.
The four have also been charged with causing or allowing the death of a child and perverting the course of justice by taking steps to conceal the killing of an infant.
The infant is yet to be identified but was named in court as Baby S.
A 15-year-old girl, who cannot be named because of her age, has been charged with perverting the course of justice.
The five have been remanded in custody, and will appear at Sheffield Magistrates' Court later on Wednesday.

Two women, aged 26 and 37, who were arrested on suspicion of murder remain on bail.
