A teenager has been charged with the attempted murder of a boy who was shot in Birmingham.
The 16-year-old victim remains in a critical condition after suffering gunshot wounds in Bowyer Road, Alum Rock, shortly before 5.30pm on Wednesday.
A 17-year-old boy has been charged with attempted murder and possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life, West Midlands Police said.
He is in custody and is due to appear before Birmingham Magistrates' Court on Friday.
Police have appealed for anyone with information or relevant footage to come forward.
