Police are treating the death of an 11-year-old girl as "unexplained" after her body was found in a park in Worcestershire.
Her body was discovered near the cricket ground in the village of Elmley Castle, West Mercia Police said.
The girl had earlier been reported missing at around 11.20pm on Sunday.
Her family have been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers.
"Enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances surrounding her death, which at this stage is being treated as unexplained," West Mercia Police said.
Residents can expect to see an increased police presence as the investigation continues, the force added.
