North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue confirm firefighters tackled a fire in Goathland on Saturday afternoon.
Officers were called out just after 2pm to reports of a woodland fire at Hunt House Road in Goathland.
Crew from the village and nearby Whitby responded to an area measuring approximately 30 x 10 metres of woodland brash on fire.
Firefighters used an alcon pump and beaters to extinguish the flames.
