Police say a woman has been charged to court after reports she was shouting racist abuse at people in Scarborough town centre.
Officers say they received a call shortly after 2pm on Saturday.
North Yorkshire Police officers attended immediately, and located a 30-year-old suspect at a nearby property on Scalby Road.
She was subsequently charged with two racially-aggravated public order offences, two public order offences and affray.
She was remanded to appear at York Magistrates Court on Monday.
