Whitby Town Football Club is partnering with This is the Coast to provide live commentary on it's games.
The partnership between Whitby Town and This is the Coast will see live radio commentaries being broadcast on This is the Coast Extra from the start of the forthcoming season.
The radio station already provides commentary on Scarborough Athletic games, an arrangement which will also continue.
The Whitby Town games will be broadcast on a new additional stream which will be available though the radio stations website and smartphone app as well as on smart speakers and some smart TV's.
Speaking about the new arrangement Whitby Town Media Officer - Paul Connolly had this to say:
This is the Coast Managing Director, Matthew Pells, said:
"This is great news for local football fans who will now be able to enjoy live commentary on both Scarborough Athletic and Whitby Town games on This is the Coast's platforms.
We've been working closely with Whitby over the last few seasons to help publicise the clubs activities both on and off the pitch and this new partnership will solidify that relationship.
The clubs media team have a strong track record providing their own radio commentaries over the last ten years and our aim is to help them continue delivering high quality coverage of games for Whitby Town fans"
The clubs commentary team will continue to provide the live broadcasts with This is the Coast providing the technology to make the broadcasts available as widely as possible.
Fans will be able to tune in via the This is the Coast Smart Phone App or through the radio station's online player.
For Alexa devices there is a special This is the Coast Extra app which will enable listeners to choose which game they listen to by saying "Switch to Whitby" or "Change to Scarborough".
The commentaries will also be available through the ROKU smart TV app.
