Whitby Regatta is back on this weekend for the first time in two years.
The organising committee say they will be staging a slightly scaled back event due to the COVID uncertainty during the planning phase but the rowing races are all on and the Fireworks will go ahead on Monday.
Ivor Greer is chairman of the Regatta
The Whitby Regatta committee say it's volunteers, the rowing clubs and Whitby Yacht Club have been working very hard in conjunction with Scarborough Borough Council and other partners to stage the event which is in it's 181st year.
Regatta Chair, Ivor Greer, says it's great to have the event back but it will be slightly scaled back this time around.
