Whitby's Coastguard Team have recruited an unusual fundraising companion.
The team are taking on a fund-raising challenge in June to help with repairs on the clock at St Mary's Church in the town with the aid of a mannequin.
Clare Ebison is deputy station officer at Whitby Coastguard.
She told us what'll happen on the day:
St Marys Church Whitby is one of the most iconic historical buildings in Whitby and is still a working church serving the community. In December 2023 the clock faces were removed from the tower and are in need of repairs. To return the clock to its former glory is likely to cost many thousands of pounds, tens of thousands most likely.
On the 9th of June- the team will take a 40 kilogram training mannequin along the beach from Sandsend to the cliff under Captain Cooks Monument.
Clare says they will then do a rope rescue demonstration with the mannequin.
The team will then continue the stretcher carry down Khyber Pass, along Pier Road, over the Swing Bridge, along Church Street before ascending the 199 steps and finishing at St Mary's Church Whitby.

There are more details about the team's fundraising efforts on their GoFundMe page.
