The Moorland Railway and gardens in Staintondale is set to open to the public this afternoon to raise money for charity.
Held on the first Sunday of every month, visitors will be able to enjoy miniature train rides, food, drink and a tombola with all proceeds from today's event going to Ukraine.
The event will run from 2pm - 4pm, at Moorlands House, Staintondale.
Lisa Williams, who alongside her husband created the railway, is hoping to surpass last year's fundraising total.
For today's event, Rob Shorland-Ball will be putting on his Ukrainian Railway officer's uniform, that he was given in 2006, to act as the Station Manager.
Lisa Williams insists that there has been a lot of hard work that has gone in to the creation and maintenance of the railway.
All the money raised on each event, will be going to the following charities:
- Sunday 14th May - Ukraine
- Sunday 4th June - MIND
- Sunday 2nd July - Alzheimer's Society
- Sunday 6th August - The Rainbow Centre, Scarborough
- Sunday 3rd September - Martin House Hospice
