North Yorkshire Police is appealing for witnesses and information about a suspect attempting to gain entry to vehicles in Scarborough.
It happened on The Copse and surrounding streets at around 3am on Thursday and involved an individual attempting to gain access to unattended parked cars on the Hovingham Drive estate.
Officers are requesting the public’s assistance to help establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident. In particular, they're appealing for information around any potential sightings, descriptions, or CCTV/doorbell footage of anyone acting suspiciously in the area at this time.
The suspect is believed to have been wearing a dark-coloured jacket and face covering, with a light or reflective area on the hood.
