The social club and sports fields in the village of Staithes are due to go under the hammer in a property auction held by Pugh later this month.
The 3.5 acre site has been given a guide price of £85,000.
Located on Seaton Crescent and surrounded by residential properties, auctioneers say the site may be suitable for development, subject to planning consent being granted.
The large social club building includes over 9,000 sq ft of floorspace made up of two lounges, bars, a large function room with stages, as well as a commercial kitchen and toilets.
Home of Staithes Athletic FC, the sporting facilities received funding from the Premier League and charitable organisations in 2017 for a £38,000 upgrade to build separate home and away changing facilities and changing rooms for match officials. The building also includes a bar, pump room and storage facilities.
Paul Thompson, managing director of auction house Pugh, said:
This has been a great site for local grassroots sport and social events for many years, and it would be tremendous to see it retain its identity as a community asset under new ownership."
Pugh’s next auction, featuring the Staithes social club and sports fields, as well as land and properties across the UK, will be held online on 28 April.
