Health leaders say The entire NHS system in North Yorkshire remains under immense pressure as demand for it's services continues to increase.
NHS leaders say that while there are fewer COVID patients there is an enormous backlog of other patients and GP surgeries are continuing to see increasing demand.
Amanda Bloor from the NHS in the county says the hospitals are busy.
Hospitals are still having to implement COVID safety measures despite a fall in COVID patients, which is increasing the amount of time it takes to deal with patients.
Meanwhile GP practises say they are facing both an increase in demand and a significant problem with staffing.
Dr Thomas Patel Campbell is a GP partner at Central Healthcare in Scarborough, they are currently only seeing the most urgent cases after a large increase in demand for appointments over the last few weeks. He says they are suffering with staff burnout issues.
