School leaders in North Yorkshire say COVID safety measures and regular and frequent testing undertaken in schools seems to be paying off.
Schools return for the summer term today and education bosses in North Yorkshire say they are pleased with the way COVID safety measures are working.
Stuart Carlton is the county's director of education, he says the number of COVID cases in schools before the half term break was low.
In the final weeks before the half term holiday, North Yorkshire schools recorded good attendance across the county with over 90 per cent on average.
