Two new defibrillators have been put in to service in Scarborough this week and one has already been in action.
They've been funded by the 'Scarborough Borough Guest Accommodation Providers' group which is made up of 130 Guest House and Small Hotel owners.
Kevin Lavender from the group says they've been fundraising for the last year to raise funds for the new life saving kit.
The first of the new sites at the Church hall of the Ebeneezer Church on Columbus Ravine was unveiled earlier this week. The second at the New Southlands Hotel on West Street will be unveiled by Councillor Rich Maw at lunchtime today.
Kevin from the Scarborough Borough Guest Accommodation Providers group says their aim to add even more sites.
Kevin says the group were motivated to fundraise for the new Defibrillators after hearing about just how effective they can be in an emergency situation.
Kevin says the new sites have been added to the national directory of public defibrillators.
The directory can be found at https://www.defibfinder.uk/
