The leader of North Yorkshire County Council is urging the public to remain cautious about COVID.
Councillor Carl Les says the county has a number of districts where infection rates remain high and say the county's overall infection rate remains well above the England average.
The seven day COVID infection rate in the Scarborough borough is back over 500 cases per 100,000 people.
Yesterday the number increased to 513, above the North Yorkshire average of 497 and well above the all England average of 382.
On average there are 80 new cases confirmed in the Borough every day.

County Council leader Carl Les says the increasing rates are adding pressure on local hospitals.
Accross the county the Selby District has the highest seven day infection rate followed by Harrogate and then the Scarborough Borough with a number of wards in the borough reporting high numbers of new cases in the latest seven day figures.
