A new digital project celebrating the history of Scarborough goes live today.
Scarborough Atlas is an interactive website and a series of themed town wide trails, which use layered maps so that viewers can easily compare different periods of time.
Yasmin Stefanov-King is the project co-ordinator, she hopes today's launch will inspire more local people to get involved, and add more local knowledge.
Scarborough Atlas is using layered maps to show the history of the town in different time periods, the maps are supported by themed town wide trails.
Yasmin Stefanov-King from Scarborough Museums and Galleries says the project is going to continue to evolve and hopes more local people will contribute
Scarborough Atlas will be an interactive database of information about the history of Scarborough. The museum is asking for the public's stories, facts and memories of Scarborough to enrich the trails, articles and collections on the Atlas.
