Scarborough Athletic Aim To Bounce Back Against Macclesfield Following Successive Defeats

Scarborough Athletic will travel to Cheshire to face Macclesfield on Tuesday evening as the Seadogs look to end a run of back-to-back defeats in the National League North.

An end to a run of back-to-back defeats is the target for Scarborough Athletic this Tuesday as they return to National League North action.

The Seadogs will travel to Cheshire to face Macclesfield, looking to secure vital points after a challenging recent spell.

Live commentary of the clash, which kicks off at 7.45pm, will be broadcast on This Is The Coast Extra.

Despite the recent setbacks, anticipation remains high within the squad ahead of the difficult away fixture.

Speaking to SAFC TV, Boro boss Jono Greening said:

"The players all want to play in that game because it's a great players to play, it's a good scene. It's always end-to-end and you know you do like to play in them games as a player. We have to be obviously cautious because they've got really good attacking players. They've got players who can score from set plays. They're a really good team. They're definitely going to be up there. That's a fact. With the money they've got and you know the players they've got and the amount of players they've got off Spurs as well. So they'll probably freshen it up on Tuesday a little bit more than we can."

The challenge of creating and finishing chances remains a key focus for the team as they prepare for the fixture.

Jono Greening added:

"That's the hardest part in football is you know creating chances and putting the ball in the back and that's why you know strikers and these wingers and number tens get paid the most money in in world football is because they can make something happen right, but the lads are looking forward to the game Tuesday we're looking to bounce back in terms of points and stuff. We just want to win every game of football you know and and and you know it's it's it's hard but we keep going."
