Filey is playing host to rally cars this weekend.
The Trackrod Rally will be based in the resort and while the racing takes place on the North York Moors, Filey will host the ceremonial finish tomorrow and see the the start of a night stage this evening.
Keith McGhie is one of the event organisers, he says there are two events taking place.
The latest stages of the British historic rally championship and the BTRDA championship are basing themselves in the resort as part of this years Trackrod Rally.
Over 173 cars have been entered for the events with the racing will be taking place in the North York Moors forests, but Keith says visitors to Filey will have two good chances to see the vehicles.
Scrutineering will be taking place at Filey Country park this afternoon with the ceremonial start taking place from 7pm on the sea front.
The rally stages then take place in Dalby and Cropton Forests with a night stage taking place this evening.

Rod Parkin, Trackrod Rally Yorkshire Clerk of the Course says that the stages in the Dalby and Cropton/Gale Rigg complexes are in the best condition he has ever seen them in his many years running the event.
The Trackrod offers a very rare opportunity for competitors to compete in the legendary Dalby forest with a stage on Friday evening for the historic crews and then a further stage on Saturday for all competitors.
Parkin said:
“Thanks to the permitted increase in average speeds for forest rallies there is only one traditional chicane on the whole event this year, and we think this is great news for our competitors.”
The Saturday event, which includes a round of the Protyre BTRDA Rally Series, takes in five special stages covering 45 single use miles as the BTRDA title race heads towards conclusion.
The Trackrod Historic Cup, running over nearly 60 stage miles, is round nine of the Fuchs British Historic Rally Championship.
Trackrod Rally Yorkshire is a round of the Protyre BTRDA Rally Series, the Fuchs Motorsport UK British Historic Rally Championship, the REIS Motorsport UK English Rally Championship, the Motoscope Northern Historic Rally Championship, the ANECCC SG Petch Stage Rally Championship, the ANCC Stage Rally Championship, the ANWCC Forest Rally Championship, the TCS Plant Rally Challenge and the MINI Rally Challenge.
The hundreds of volunteer marshals, officials and radio crews who support the event will share in a £2000 random cash prize draw.
